There are no mounting instructions.
It simply does not work if you mount it the way customer service tells you to mount it on the crossbar under the seat of the Wise (21404)chair. Remove the seat and mount the gimball to the seat support bar. It works perfectly, and the seat gives additional support.

I have not used the item yet, my boat is in Mexico. I think it will be very user frindly.

it was all good except the screws that hold the gimbal in place came out, luckily it came apart in a place where I could find all the parts and loctite everything in place other than that small inconvenience it is a great idea

Hello,The gimbal mounted easily but broke on the very first use. We were sturgeon fishing with very heavy gear (80#) and my son who is 12 hooked into a 9 foot white Sturgeon. Thirty minutes into the fight the cup portion of the gimbal fell off the chair at its pivot point. It basically broke. I came home and modified/repaired it as best I can and will see if my design is better than original. Can't be any worse. [...]
