    This was used to cover a captain’s stand and lasted less than 8 months. It attracted mold and bird stains and was impossible to clean. Upon cleaning, the fabric deteriorated and eventually cracks were formed, those grew into holes and the entire cover started to turn into swiss cheese. Very ineffective. Highly disappointed.

                            stretch rope is around the bottom. Needs tabs or a rope that one can tighten better, but I do like this cover.

                            This cover has an elastic band around the bottom. I have a new Wise steering console we just installed on our boat, and this cover fits very nicely. The elastic holds the cover in place nicely. We had a storm go through this weekend and the cover did not budge. Thumbs up!
