Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
I had the same experience as other reviewers on the internet...it actually splits and has holes in it after 6 months. It is just too costly to justify poor durability
Pros
- Dries Quickly
Cons
- Has Unsafe Features
Best Uses
- Beach
- Outdoors
Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
The mat has a softer side and a rigid side. The rigid side is sharp and has cut the kids when they climb up/fall off. After wrestling on the mat (which they love) there are lots of abrasions. Also, I am about 155 pounds and the mat sinks pretty far when I am on it -- lots of water swamping my feet -- so not as boyant as I had imagined looking at the pictures. Fine for lighter people, but disappointing for older kids (and adults young at heart). There is a more boyant version -- for lots more money. Also, in high winds, it flies off the water -- so be prepared to rush out in a storm and roll it up (not fun). Overall, I somewhat regret the purchase.
Pros
- Dries Quickly
- Simple
- Won't pop
Cons
- Adults need largest model
- Expensive
Best Uses

Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
the 18x6 model does somewhat support adults, but you do sink a little. It is simple to use, anchor and sits out all day to enjoy. Can't pop it, but will wait to see how it wears into next year. I take it out each day of use. It is expensive.

Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
We use this at a camp facility on our waterfront. We anchored concrete buckets with rope and a buoy. We hook it each day and it is light enough that we roll it up at the end of the day so it will not get stolen or a storm won't take it.
Our campers love it and it is very popular for king of the hill. Very durable and holds upwards of 5-6 people. We've put more on it and it submerges, slides them off, and pops up which is also fun.
Highly recommend.

Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
This is our third summer with the WaterMat. It's super easy to throw on our boat and bring to various locations on the lake. It's sort of pricey, but we've had so much fun with the mat that it seems well worth the price. It's also a great way to meet other people on the lake. There are often 10 children playing on the mat at one time. Hours of fun!!!
Pros
- Cleans Easily
- Lightweight
- Quick Drying
- Rugged
- Stable
Cons
Best Uses
- Pond
Comments about H2O POD The WaterMat:
My kids absolutely love the WaterMat! It is super easy for them to get on and off. I was surprised that 2 adults and 3 kids can actually stand on it without sinking much at all! Much more fun than a regular blow up party raft. Very easy to store and move. So far it seems fairly durable. I will let you know how it is holding up at the end of the summer season. Fortunately it comes with a 12 month warranty so it was well worth taking the chance on this new product. (Don't know of any standard blow up rafts that come with a 12 month warranty!)

Q:
I bought the watermat last year and we have been enjoying it but we already have splits on the underneath and now one went all the way through.I am disappointed for as much money as these cost that it should last longer than one summer. i feel we have taken good care of it and this shouldn't have happened. It is not left out in the weatherits layed out flat to dry and always rolled up and put away after every use so why would this happen? Is there any way to patch this mat? becaause buying a new one is definitely out of the question at this point.Asked on 7/4/2010 by vicky from Missouri2 answers
A:
This is definitely a concern. If they are so quick to degrade I do see that there is a less expensive one out there called aqua lily pad. Maybe that would be an idea.Answered on 6/5/2011 by Lakeboater from South DakotaA:
I had the same problem. The company agreed to send out a repair kit but not sure how well it will work. Very disappointed for this much money.
The company also had many claims filed for the same problem. Seems like it is a defect they should be responsible for replacing the matAnswered on 8/2/2012 by Dave from Illinois
Q:
Can you anchor the mat down so that it doesn't float away?Asked on 5/3/2010 by Desiree from Florida2 answers
A:
Yes, the mat has a tethering system included. The anchor is not provided, but you can simply attach an anchor to the tethering system, or even a cinder block.Answered on 6/29/2010 by Kevin K. from Palatine, ILA:
We anchor the mat using a 25 pound anchor. Directly above the anchor we attach a floating neon ball so the kids know not to step in that area (or use a non sharp anchor). We typically anchor the mat in 6 ft of water so we have not tried deeper waters.Answered on 7/19/2010 by Susan K from Lake Templene, Sturgis, MI
