Product Description
The Wake Watchers Mooring System is an innovative way to protect your boat and dock while mooring. The adjustable tension allows your boat to move up and down with wakes and waves, resisting vertical, horizontal, and lateral movement while holding your boat at a safe distance from the dock. Boarding is simple -- just pull in one of the arms and board. Release the arm and your boat automatically repositions itself away from the dock. Start the motor, untie the two ropes allowing the arms to retract, and you're on your way. Made with a baked enamel powder coat to resist weather and corrosion. Complete with hardware, rope, and reflective decals. For boats up to 3,500 lbs. System is designed for use on inland lakes and rivers. If used in tidal areas, a strong floating dock is required.

Comments about Bear Industries Wake Watchers Mooring System:

I had a chance to see it in use before I ordered it. I ordered it and it came quickly. I put them together in fifteen minutes and the nest day my son and I installed them in another fifteen minutes. We tied the ropes off with tension and it works great. I think I am going to find two proung hooks that with tension will be easy to connect and disconnedt to the boat cleats. We really like them and will probably order a second set in the near future for a pontoon.

Impressed with quality of product. A good value. My boat rides easily at her moorings with this product. I have difficulty pulling stern to dock and disconnecting stern line ala video. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to do.

Comments about Bear Industries Wake Watchers Mooring System:

We have a House on the Colorado River just South of Laughlin NV. Needless to say there is alot of traffic on the river and we get Tour boats that go by and throw 3-4ft wakes along with tons of other large boats and ski's, and our boat has never even come close to hitting the dock using Wake Watchers Mooring System. When we first got it we hung buoys form the dock just to make sure and now we dont even worry about, because we known it works perfect. We also have a current from 6-10mph to deal with too; we have been using it since 2007 and it is still going strong, even on the big hoilday weekends and it still looks great too.

        • Q:

My pier is straight until the last 4 feet, where it juts out 1.5 ft on each side at a 45 degree angle to form a wider platform for sitting. My concern with this system is that the boat won't be perfectly parallel to the pier due to the platform at the end of the pier. Will this system work even though mooring arm supporting the bow will be farther from the boat than the mooring arm supporting the back of the boat??

The best use is on a fixed dock as you will allow the spring action to work well.

One foot six inches further apart than the cleats on your boat that you tie to. Go to www.wakewatcher.com amd download Assembly Instructions.

how well does thlis work in a rough weather envirement where waves can reach 4 feet at times.

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

I would not recommend this product for waves of that height. If you are on the Pamlico River, I think this system would work fine for you. If you did see an increase in wave action, due to a Hurricane or Tropical Storm, I would either anchor the boat away from any structure, or pull it out of the water.
