      I use this chain from bow eye of 23 ft. Express Cruiser to mooring buoy on a fresh water lake. Held in 30 knot winds, gusts to 40 Make sure your bow eye is rated and with plenty of reinforcement through the hull-fiberglas hull.

      Shipping service was one day early.

                      A:

                      I like two 5 foot lengths of chain, but it somewhat depends on the depth of water you will anchor in. If the water depth is 5 to 40 feet, one to two lengths of chain should be fine. If you will anchor in windy conditions, I'd go with 10 feet of chain, total.
