Very easy install
I have a 305 MerCruiser I/O, I had to cut to size with a hacksaw. It was very easy to do. Install took at most ten minutes.

Works, have had better ones in the past
Once cut to size very easily installed and very functional. BUT, the "Y" end tends to start splitting after the first year when drive lowered down and boat towed around all summer.

Comments about T-H Marine Supplies Trailering Clips:
The instruction show and say to tie them together with the supplied strings and to feed thru the holes.
product had no holes or string with it!!
They should either change the directions, or include the strings and manufacure them with holes.
This assures that they stay together, and keeps them from ever falling off the boat while trailering.

does it replace or do you use with transom saverAsked on 6/2/2009 by grandpabob6 from cedar rapids,iowa3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Typically, the trailering clips are used in I/O applications to alleviate the strain on the hydraulics and transom savers are used on O/B's. You still have the weight of the outdrive bouncing on the transom with the trailering clips.Answered on 6/4/2009 by Ryan from OvertonsA:

A:
I used them on an I/O, not an outboard. I would say that since outboard trim cylinders are much shorter and are still near the transom pivot, that a transom saver would offer more support for an outboard application.Answered on 11/18/2009 by Leadbottom from Niles, MI
