Comments about Toonmate Removable Folding Pontoon Ladder, 5-Step:
I built a 18" wide platform off the back of my fish and ski boat. The ladder fit perfect. Reading the other reveiws helped to make the final placement prior to cutting the holes in the platform.

Comments about Toonmate Removable Folding Pontoon Ladder, 5-Step:
This is a great ladder. I don't understand why almost all pontoon boat manufacturers put little 3 step ladders on their boats. They always need 1 or 2 more steps. This ladder fixes that.
My best friend had lower back surgery and could not get up the ladder on the boat. We thought his lake days may be over. But this ladder fixes that.
The reason I put "floats" as a pro and a con is this. You won't lose it in the lake - because it floats. But when you have in the water, the last three steps float (because it is hinged above the 3rd step). If you are jumping in to the water over the ladder, you have to make sure you clear those floating steps - or jump to the side of them. Not a biggy - but worth mentioning.
Storing - we seem to move this thing all over the boat when it is not in use. Not really a con - we just need to decide where we want to put it!
But this is a great, sturdy ladder. I weigh 280 pounds and it handles me with no problem!

Comments about Toonmate Removable Folding Pontoon Ladder, 5-Step:
should jusy drill 2 hopes and install the socket and that's it ? NO! The lower brace that is SUPPOSED to touch the pontoon for support was 7 inches away from touching. Had to get 2 pieces of pipe and drill and pin an extension to the arms so they would touch the pontoons. Otherwise the only the plastic sockets were holding all the weight. Looks like it will work OK now ! --Just be prepaired to do your own custom installation...
