This is a great ladder. It's just what I was looking for. It's lightweight, easy to put on/ take off, folds into a compact package for stowage. I assembled the ladder and installed the footman loops on my pontoon in about 30 minutes. Putting the ladder on/taking it off the boat can be done in a matter of seconds.
Now getting back on the boat after swimming or tubing is a breeze for children and adults.
The only problem I see is the plastic plugs in the aluminum tubing are loose and fall out easily. A little epoxy should cure it.
Nice product, should give good service.

Comments about Overton's Toonmate 4-Step Folding Pontoon Ladder:
Hard to get into and out of boat not for large boats. Needs wider steps and wider all together 16"
not 14"

Comments about Overton's Toonmate 4-Step Folding Pontoon Ladder:
It's a nice and sturdy ladder. The J-hook brackets are difficult to install on the ladder, there's not enough room to get the nuts installed inside of the tube. The brackets also do not allow enough clearance for easy install and removal from the boat/pontoon, had to take a angle grinder to make it better. Also, the plastic end caps have a tendency to fall off in the water. The folding ladder handle with the brackets does not form a 90 degree angle when on the vessel, it looks silly when installed but still is functional. I got it on sale, if I paid full price, it would have been returned.

Comments about Overton's Toonmate 4-Step Folding Pontoon Ladder:
I really like this ladder, it's strong, durable and easy to climb. It was a little difficult to install on my pontoon and I didn't care for the snap (changed it out for a velcro strap) but once it's on it works and looks great! I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Comments about Overton's Toonmate 4-Step Folding Pontoon Ladder:
Easy for all to use. Getting in and out of the water is easy.It is the same ladder that came with the boat and was 1/3 of the price. Would be better with two velcro straps as added security when the boat is in motion.

Q:
I called the other day trying to find the square 1" plastic plug for this ladder. I was told that it was manufactured by Dock Edge and given their number to get a replacement part. I called them and they said it was not their ladder and refered me to Garelick. I just got off the phone with them and they say it is not their ladder. Can you help me find the manufacturer so I can get the plastic plug to replace the one that came off my ladder?Asked on 9/9/2010 by Anonymous from Rock Hill, SC3 answers

Sounds like the same distance as mine. You can check out the specs. For me it fit right in the factory holes and hardware that came on the boat.Answered on 8/21/2011 by Freddy from Hampstead New Hampshire
Q:
Would this ladder screw to a dock? What weight capacity?Asked on 5/28/2010 by Vern from Greensboro1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
You could attach the footman loops to the dock and use the ladder, although I would not recommend it for dock use. Reason being that this ladder is very lightweight and would be best suited for occasional use, not the constant climbing my dock ladder gets when 8-10 kids are swimming at the dock. The weight rating is 250 lbs
Hope this helps, RobertAnswered on 6/22/2010 by RC from South Carolina
