Easy, quick to assemble; very sturdy
We use this on our dock and it is very heavy duty and well designed. Makes getting out of the water a snap!

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 5-Step Dock Ladder:
Had this thing for three summers now and it is still just as good as new. No visible signs of wearing. It is kept outside all year but we have the retractable mount which i would highly recomend. not shakey at all, which is more than I can say for all the other ladders i have been on. Great product and worth the money if you want a product that you can trust.

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 5-Step Dock Ladder:
This ladder was easy to assemble. We purchased the optional flip up mount so the ladder can be pulled out of the water. I recommend getting the 5 step ladder for the greatest ease out of the water. The inside of the ladder isn't painted and if left in the water may corrode.

Q:
Some of the previous comments for 5 step model complain of corrosion within two years in fresh water; even with taking it out of water and stowing it during winter. Has Tie Down addressed this issue in product design? I'm thinking of buying one, but not if it's going to fall apart within the first few years.Asked on 5/31/2009 by SEC from Texas1 answer
A:
I am unsure if tie down has addressed these issues. I do know that the ladder is powder coated for rust resistance, but if you are using the quick release mounts and in taking the ladder out of the mount and scratch the powder coating on the frame or the steps, then it will expose the bare metal making it prone for rust issues. Once this happens the rust can spread quickly and cause integrity problem with the ladder, which is what I expect happened to some of these people's ladder.Answered on 3/10/2011 by Technician from Overton's
