I was lucky to be a part of a field test on this item. I give 5 stars for ThermaCELL Appliance in Realtree APG With Holster and Light for when it was deer season here South Carolina and it was still in the 80's and man where the Mosquitos bad the first day I for got my thermacell and it was all I could do to stay in the woods to hunt. Well never again my ThermaCell will be on my side at all times because it works when I turn it on the mosquitos are gone and I can now stay longer in the woods to hunt. Thanks to the Schawbel Corporation, for letting me test this product but you don't need to take my word on it for it sells it's self after the first time you use it. Plus it's so easy to use just put in the butane cartridge,place the small blue mat that has been saturated with repellent and turn it on and bugs be gone.

I live in Florida, without the ThermaCELL mosquito repellent I could not still hunt at the beginning of hunting season, excellant product, has no effect on game being alerted to your position.

Purchased the ThermoCell unit along with the carry holster and extra refill mats for both my son and nephew for Christmas on a recommendation from a friend who is an avid hunter and fisherman. According to my friend, hehas used his ThermoCell unit many times and has always been amazed at how quickly and for how long those annoying bugs stay away. These units will be the perfect gifts for my young men!

The repellant works great. I use it hunting and sitting around outside. I have tried it walking in to stands and it is not as effective moving but that is understandable. During my hunts I have not had deer smell it or they are atleast not alarmed by it and hardly any mosquitos come around.

Used this for the first time while Black bear hunting with my wife in Northern Minnesota in thick brush, very buggy. Thermacell seemed to do it's job and kept us comfortable and it seemed odorless to me and the critters thus providing a successful hunt!
