These mats emit an earth scent of musky dirt and decaying leaves to help mask human odors, making them perfect for hunters. Refill kit fits all ThermaCELL models.         I use my ThermaCELL mostly in the deer blind. I use the FRESH EARTH and it works extremely well. The smell is not overbearing and being each mat gives you 4 hours of protection you can hunt all day. This along with Amazon's super fast shipping and excellent communication made this a great experience all the way around!
