Comments about Dockmate Telescoping Drop Ladder, 4-Step:

Our old ladder was a three step. Last year my wife had a bad hip and could barely get out of the water using the old ladder. Hip was replaced in Feb. I installed this new four step ladder this spring. The steps are wider and support your foot much better. My wife got into the water on our first trip out, and came right up out of the water with no trouble. The ladder has a slight out word angle which makes it much easier to climb. My wife loves the new ladder. We are both over 70 years young. Thanks

Comments about Dockmate Telescoping Drop Ladder, 4-Step:

This solved my runny nose and itchy eyes! Let me explain. The ladder came with a free box of Allegra Allergy tablets! The ladder replaced our short two step ladder. Although it is only two inches longer when compact, when fully extended it is amazing. The quality of construction is better than the old ladder. Since the last one lasted 18 years, I am thinking that this is the last ladder ever needed on this boat. The bolt holes even matched the old ladder with no drilling or repair. Life is good and I will be jumping into the lake many times going forward. Also, I am not sneezing any more.

                  A:

The mounting brackets are 9.9" wide center to center of the mounting holes. Given the size of the holes and the movement of the hinged points I think it will easily work at 10" on center. Here are some additional measurements that you may find helpful.

Overall Width - 11.625" (includes hardware attaching bracket to ladder)
Mounting Brackets inside to inside - 8.625"
Mounting Brackets outside to outside - 11.25" (not including hardware attaching brackets)
                  Mounting Bracket width - 1.25"
Mounting Bracket length - 5.25" (not including hinge point where ladder connects to bracket but rather just the part of the bracket that will rest on your swim deck)

Ladders do not come with mounting hardware due to the various types and sizes of hardware that can be used depending on where the ladder is mounted. Some applications may require through bolting and some may require self tapping screws, both at various lengths.
