Comments about Teleflex® Sahara Instrument- O/B Water Pressure Kit (30 psi):
This is the only guage that shows the lowest pressure. Evenrude does not. Evenrude has a 60# guage for the Bombader which I have a 150 hp. The motor has a max. of 15# water pressure. Why does Evenrude try to sell you a 60# guage? It's not accurate at all! This 30# guage is borderline to high. Why... well when you are fishing in shallow water and get some mud/dirt in your water intake a lower pressure guage shows is immediately in much more accurate increments. This allows you to trim up the motor and clean out the blockage before your motor gets hot or worse. Lets not talk about how worse it can get. The old story: a guage is a guage. That is not true, you need the guage to fit the application by knowing the applications max and min. operating range. I rated this guage a 4 of 5 stars because it should have been built with a lower max. pressure even though this guage is the lowest I could find, it should be 20#. Full sweep guage giving you an even more accurate notice of any potential problems that may arrise.
