Q:
I have a 1999 225 merc.two stroke : I would like to have the 50 mph speed o, the tach with the alarm / eng. lights /w / alarm,
the trim , volt and fuel gauge.
What probes, wire harness, and additional stuff will I need to hook this up?Asked on 5/28/2009 by kevin from montezuma, ga1 answer
A:
The trim gauge is sold separately. I do not know what you mean by eng. lights. You will need to use marine grade electrical wire for all of the gauges. You will need to connect your tach to a rectifier or alternator that is NOT a 20 pole alternator. Fuel gauge to the fuel sending unit. voltmeter to the ignition switch's accessory terminal. Temperature gauge to the temp sending unit on the motor. The oil pressure gauge to the oil pressure sending unit on the motor. All gauges also must be connected to a power source and a common ground.Answered on 3/10/2011 by Justin from Overton's
