          This gauge would connect to the ignition.

          A:

          I have mine wired to the hot wire on the ignition switch on the dash... This setup works well as long as you don't leave the ignition on without the motor running... an over night mistake can run up the hours... As an option you could wire it at the motor but you might forget to check it as often... bottom line wire it where you will check it often.
