Comments about Taylor Made Rail-Mount Flag Pole Socket:
I haven't actually got this mounted on the boat yet but it appears to be well made and should work fine. The one complaint I have is that the online add (not the one in the catalog) claims that it will receive flag poles up to 1.25" diameter when in fact it will receive flag poles up to 7/8" diameter. I had to get a different pole to accomodate, but if it works like I think it will it should be great.

A:
This socket fits up to a 1.25" pole. To place and remove a pole from the socket simply unscrew the screw and place/remove the pole. It fits on 7/8" to 1.25" rails.Answered on 6/12/2009 by Donald from OvertonsVERIFIED BUYER
A:
1.) up to 7/8"
2.) You need a screw driver but it's only two screws, should be simple enough
3.) I have mine rigged to do it, but I haven't had it out since. I don't see why not, it should be plenty strong.
4.) I am sure it will, it is rated for 7/8" to 1 1/4" rails in the adds and on the packagingAnswered on 11/9/2011 by Big L from Eustis, FL
