Q:1. What size pole does this socket hold?
2. Is it easy to place and/or remove the the pole so that the boat cover can be insstalled over the socket.?
3. Is it strong enough to hold a 36" Wooden pole with two flags attached?
4. Does it fit on a one inch rail?Asked on 5/21/2009 by Snuffy from Bella Vista, AR
A:This socket fits up to a 1.25" pole. To place and remove a pole from the socket simply unscrew the screw and place/remove the pole. It fits on 7/8" to 1.25" rails.Answered on 6/12/2009 by Donald from Overtons
A:1.) up to 7/8"
2.) You need a screw driver but it's only two screws, should be simple enough
3.) I have mine rigged to do it, but I haven't had it out since. I don't see why not, it should be plenty strong.
4.) I am sure it will, it is rated for 7/8" to 1 1/4" rails in the adds and on the packagingAnswered on 11/9/2011 by Big L from Eustis, FL
