wonderful product and as it becomes more popular I'm sure the manufacturer will reconfigure the shockpole holders and the caps on the end of the shockpoles to better align the shockpoles and hold the shockpoles in place more securely. That should help a bunch; and figure out how to secure the shockpole when it does pop out of the socket so that it doesn't drop into the water before someone can grab it. thanks.

Cover blew off 7/07/07 at Sunset Bay about 5 miunutes after I put it on. Poles went in 9+ ft. of water. Some one had to dive to get poles. Poles need some kind of pins to hold into bracket. Iam looking into this.. If the shade top can hold on the dock i think this is a great product.. If not weell see keep ya posted

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Gazebo Shade Top:
The ribbon around the perimeter of the gazebo top was poorly sewn. The stitching on the pockets that hold the top support pole ripped out immediately. In short, the workmanship is not good, and I can't recommend this item. I would not buy one again.

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Gazebo Shade Top:
Well - I read the reviews before we purchased but there are few options out there for pontoon boats and additional shade. My husband installed the brackets and commented that it would be fairly low in the front once the shade was in place. Then just as another reviewer warned - the shade was "tension" mounted (best I can come up with) and popped out of the brackets and sunk to the bottom of the lake before it was ever used.
If the thing is so prone to escape and fraught with danger (could have caught someone in the face as it ejected itself) then I would say it was a waste of money, time and now we have holes in our railing for no reason.

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Gazebo Shade Top:
The only reason I gave this gazebo a #1 on rating is because there was no ZERO option. I wouldn't recommend this gazebo to my worst enemy. First of all I was short a strap with the unit. It was very hard to put up,plus, I could already see the material starting to rip. After 10 minutes a slight wind not only colapased it but the pole went flying into 17 feet of water! Even if I wanted to put it up again, which I didn't, I couldn't without the pole. [$] down the drain!

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Gazebo Shade Top:
While pontoon boat is docked, the slightess wind will blow the gazebo down. The fiber glass poles split and the ends snapped off. Don't waste your money unless you are ready to take it down after every use. $200 wasted. Mine is in the dump.

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Gazebo Shade Top:
Good value for the price. Fabric is a little on the thin side, but should last 3 or 4 seasons if careful. Not the quality of a high-end Bimini top, but then it is only 1/3 to 1/4 the price. Nice to have an economic alternative.
