Ordered this product to vacuum the oil through the dipstick of an 86 OMC 5.7L. The unit came with 2 hard black plastic tubes, one small and one slightly larger, and also a clear tubing that was bigger than both black tubes. The medium (black tube) was inside the clear tube when I opened it and naturally I slid it out and tried all three. Small tube was too small, medium tube was inbetween too small and too large, and the clear tube kept collapsing from the suction. About 5 minutes in it dawned on my that the medium black must stay inside the clear tubing to keep it from collapsing. Once I put it back inside the clear tube, it pumped great. The only thing I added was a Female Garden Hose x Male 1/2" Barbed Fitting adapted so that it was air tight on the dip stick (dipstick is threaded as a 3/4" Male Garden Hose thread).

Good concept and liked fact that didn't have to have power supply so makes product versatile. But product didn't work on my application. Tried to extract oil from my boat using smallest provided black tubing which fits down in dipstick housing. Would not extract the oil. I even did the hand pump more times than called for (vacum even partially collapsed container). Still would not extract oil. Gave up and just took oil plug out and let oil drain into motor well; messy. Then tried using provided medium sized tubing to extract oil from motor well; still no luck. Had partial success using biggest clear tubing provided. Product worked fine if extracting water; just not oil. (And no, oil was not that old or thick.)

Comments about TRAC 7L Fluid/Oil Extractor:
Really easy to use! Best price out there. I have used similar brands that sell for double and this works just a great! Comes with three different size hoses and lengths. All snaps on the bucket so it will store as one unit.
The only con, not many attachments, but I was able to make one to fit my oil hose that is connected to my drain plug and it still worked great!

Comments about TRAC 7L Fluid/Oil Extractor:
The clear plastic tube totally collasped trying to drain oil. I bypassed it and used the dipstick tube directly. That worked great. I suspect the clear tube should never be used for heavy oil but there were absolutely no instructions in the package!

Comments about TRAC 7L Fluid/Oil Extractor:
Didn't work for changing oil in boat, maybe because the dipstick is so small, but I used it for draining a fuel tank, sucking out brake fluid from a master cylinder, emptying a power steering pump res. etc and it works great for that.
