Bought in conjunction with slat rail connectors as I did not want to drill holes in the boat to install slat sockets. I drilled the fiberglass sections and mounted the slat rail connectors with stainless steel hardware, lined the rail connectors with rubber non-slip inserts and they will not stay in place. They slip and down comes the fiberglass bow.
Seemed a better alternative to a traditional post cover support as mine always gets knocked down by wind.

I had a heck of a time cutting this to the right size. With a hacksaw over the garbage I slowly cut the fiberglass planks down to size. I had to cut it three times to get the right length. A little tip, wrap the section where you are going to cut/drill with duct tape before cutting. This will minimize the splintering. I just installed this last week so we'll see how it lasts once it gets wet, freezes, and loaded with snow. Based on the splintering when cutting/drilling, I don't expect this product to last more than a couple of winters. I would recommend to a friend with some reservations.
