Comments about Sufix Wind-On Premium Monofilament Leader:

I bought these with high hopes and was very disappointed. I used the 30 pound flourocarbon version of this and hooked up on a small yellowtail and the flourocarbon pulled out of the braid and I lost the fish! The fish was well within the 30 lb line class and there was no reason this should have happened. In fact, I probably could have landed that fish using 12 lb mono. I have used many wind-on's of other manufacturers in the past, caught literally hundreds of fish, and have never had an issue like this. A quality leader should always maintain near 100% of the rated line strength and will typically break at the hook knot, not slip out of the braid. I regret buying this and wish I had spent a few dollars more on a better wind-on. I guess the old saying "You pay for what you get" still holds true.
