The product did exactly what it said it would and held down our winter cover the entire winter. We had Overton replace them because the bungie part gave out (not Overtons fault) [...] we are using them again this winter. I can't begin to tell you how great this product is. You should have seen our boat full of ropes,to hold down the cover before we found and tried these. I would definately recomend this product. We have a 29" open bow Sea Ray. and the winter cover weighs a ton and these do their job perfect. Thank you again Overton for the PERFECT product.

Good idea and easy to install. Boat must be clean and dry when using these. I tried towing the boat using these and the wind against the cover made them pop off. They don't work well if the boat is in the water and I tried to make them nice and tight, but most of the time they slide up the side of the boat. Not bad if your just looking to keep a cover on but don't care how tight it is.

Comments about Kwik Tek Suction Cup Tie-Downs:

We use these suction cup clips to secure the trailering cover while the boat is in the slip. Otherwise we can't use the straps that wrap around the frame of the trailer, and the cinch rope in the cover can't be made tight enough.

These suction cups give the cover tension and help it stay on in all kinds of weather. Using these clips made it possible to use the trailering cover instead of buying some other kind of cover or having a snap cover installed.

You do have to be careful where you try to stick them, they have trouble holding on over surfaces of different levels, such as the graphic stickers on the side of the boat. If part of it is on the sticker and part is not, then it won't hold.

                      A:

If you only have access to one side of the boat, you have to stay inside the boat to stick them onto the side of the boat you can't reach from the dock. In our Bayliner open bow, you can stand on the aft of the boat and roll up the canopy toward the front, reaching down the sides to release the suction cups. Then when you put the cover back on, start from the front with the rolled up canopy. Set it across the bow, reach over and affix the suction cups and then unroll the cover, sticking suction cups as you unroll the canopy toward the stern..
We have a 18.5 foot open bow Bayliner, this may be more difficult on a larger boat or a cuddy cabin.

For me the suction cups are easy to install on a pontoon both on the dock side and the water side. What is difficult is hooking the cover to the suction cups on the water side. I use my kayak and go around in the water to attach my cover with bungee cords to the suction cups. Otherwise, I have to be on the boat with the cover over my head which can be done on a pontoon since the sides are open but it's a pain to do. I would think with any other boat (speed boat)you would need to have some way to get in the water (canoe/kayak)to secure your cover properly. I hope this helps.

They come with a bungee like cord that you hook to. I would not recommend these for travel since the bungee cord would stretch in the wind. They are ideal for a boat cover to prevent weather while be stationary either docked or on your trailer.

Thank you for your inquiry. This product works on any flat surface. As long as your boat maintains a flat surface there should be no problem with the performance of the product.
