I purchased 3 other flashlights from Gander Mountain before I decided on this one. The other flashlights I bought had similar features and were less expensive, but they all used the disposable CR123 batteries which are a huge cost factor! By spending a little more on this light with the rechargeable battery you will end up saving more money in the long run.

In addition, this light is BLINDING!!! I'm an avid hunter and going to my stand in the morning I have to put it on the lowest mode not to scare away any game. Where other lights that I purchased claimed to have 200+ lumens this one actually does what it states. In a side by side comparison, none of the other lights in the same class had close to the output that this one does and it never gets hot like another one that I had that claimed to have a higher number of lumens.

It has 3 output modes as well as a strobe, which I do not recommend testing the strobe on anyone except an intruder. I accidently strobed my dog and it wandered in circles for a minute before walking into a wall!

There are optional lens filters with flip up caps that can be purchased for this light that include a red filter for night vision, which is great for getting in and out of the woods so not to spook game, a green filter which is great for map reading as well as a blue lens filter which works for blood tracking in low light conditions.

I have owned the Strion for about a year. I bought a second one to give as a gift. THese flashlights are always ready and you have no problem getting to the stand early or coming out late, this flashlight lights up the world.

I love this light. It is small, compact, light weight, and easy to carry. We live in the country and it will light up our 10 acre pasture.

Purchased this light for caving/hiking at night. There was no place in Mammoth Cave or trail that this light could not illuminate! Had to be careful that I did not sweep and blind other tourists though. It charges quickly and holds a charge an adequate period of time for about any activity. A good choice for search and rescue or firefighters to carry as a strong backup.

Great everyday light. Charger can be mounted in your vehicle, and just leave it on charge so its always ready.

I have never had a nicer flashlight. SUPER bright.Has 3 dofferent levels plus strobe. Long battery life and rechargeable.
