Now drilled over 450 holes with it, I can write a review, Starts on second pull at 30 bellow zero, much to my relief, Oil issue is odd as you are suppose to fill the oil to the bottom level of the dipstick and not to the top of its mark, you think THey could have made another dipstick for this engine...but oh well cuts well, Throttle stuck once and had to reattach throttle cable and thaw out the auger, other then that worked well. Poor throttle design but I do like its location. A good motor, and oh so quiet :-)

Comments about StrikeMaster Honda-Lite Power Auger, 8":

Some reviews I had read talked about some confusion on how much oil to use, I followed the enclosed Honda manual and found it quite simple. The auger comes with a sample bottle of oil that is less than the required amount, perhaps that is were some were confused. The motor starts right away, and once it is warmed up it has plenty of power for the 8" bit. I really like this auger.

Starts easy, cuts fast without downward assist, and is very easy on the ears compared to other augers.
