easy to install. cleared the anode easily. bought it for yamaha 150 on triton 185 hull. greatly improved performance on this heavey hull. improved fuel efficiency about 20%. boat gets up on plane 3 x faster with a whole lot less push from motor. did not effect top end speed at all for me with the excepton of taking some of the work off of the motor. Higher rpms of 1000 rpm at top end showed no decrease in overall speed but decreased load on motor. still cavitates in turns wide open but overall cavitation decreased 75% and quicker to stop cavitation coming out of turn without slowing motor by decreasing trim just a tad on motor and then readjusting for optimum after prop digs in again. overalll good product and very efficient. negative - came off hitting stump but was able to find it easily - this product floats - except for plastic shim insert that fits between end of screw and couling. hightly recommend for the price.

I bought it for my 115 Yamaha 4 stroke and installed per the directions. After a couple runs across the lake it started sliding off. It's a great idea and it worked great getting out of the hole but it won't stay on no matter what I do. If you over tighten than you break the rubber grips and you will damage your motor. Manufacturer sent me new ones but still did not help the second replacement. I like the stealth and theirs a noticible performance improvement but it would be a better system if it just bolted on. Bummer!

A:
These type hydrofoild usually do not work on Volvo motors. Try the doel fin hydrofoil it may be the Overton's brand one now. It is a hydrofoil that has the fins split into 2 pieces so it fits any cavitation plate but requires drilling.Answered on 11/14/2012 by Justin from Overton's
