Q:I have a Crownline 220EX with a Mercruiser 5.0 MPI 270HP Bravo 3 outdrive. I operate the boat on Big Bear lake in So California. It is at 6,800 feet and my boat struggles to get on plane with more than 2 people in it. Will this or your other products fit and what performance should I expect?Asked on 10/25/2014 by Bill from Big Bear Lake CA
Yes. The Sting Ray XRIII Senior will fit on your outdrive. It will help with getting on plane quicker than you are know. The other suggestion would be to go down in pitch of your prop. This too will increase your hole shot.

A:The website is: http://www.marine-dynamics.com/install.html
These are the instructions there:
Both the StingRay™ XPI and XPII Hydrofoil Stabilizers and StingRay Junior™ models are easy to install. All the hardware you need is included: four bolts, four self-locking nuts, four stainless steel washers, and four
rubber washers. Simply drill four (4) quarter-inch holes in the cavitation plate on the lower drive unit and bolt the StingRay™ on.
Pre-drilled holes in the StingRay™ serve as a guide for drilling the four holes. Placing the StingRay™ on top of the cavitation plate, insert the bolts from the bottom up. Place the rubber washers on the bottom side and the stainless steel washers between the top of the unit and the self-locking nuts. Use a socket wrench to tighten the nuts.Answered on 1/7/2010 by Justin from Overton's Technician
