Product Description
Significantly Improves Performance! The Sting Ray hydrofoil eliminates cavitation, prop blow out, bow rise, porpoising, and bouncing. A new Speed-XP hydrophilic material creates a water-on-water surface eliminating drag and making Sting Ray the fastest hydrofoil available. Speed covers reduce drag by preventing water "slap" against the hole. Fits any I/O or outboard with a cavitation plate. Torque equalizers (#28986) neutralize steering torque for better control and tracking at all speeds.

    I had one of these on my '88 Johnson 90 hp and loved it! The 16' Crestliner I used it on was slow getting out of the hole, bow-up for too long a time, wasted gas, made getting skiers up problematic. After adding this fin all those problems were corrected. Fast plane, much improved hole shot, and not more cavitation on tight turns! It makes a huge difference for towing inner tubers when making fast turns. When I upgraded to a 100 hp Yamaha 4-stroke, I moved the fin to the new motor, and even though this was a heavier motor, the fin kept all those problems from coming back. I just sold my boat and ordered an 18' runabout with a Yamaha F150, and I'm planning on buying another fin right from the start. My friend has this same motor on his 18' runabout, and has slower hole shot and more "bow-up" on fast starts, and a ton of cavitation on fast turns. He'll be surprised to see how well my boat out-performs his, just by adding the fin.

            Before the Stingray my boats bow was bouncing heavly. After installing the Stingray. the boat comes right up on plane and the bounce is gone.

                I bought a 2012 G3 V614F with a Yamaha 70HP 4stoke. It was tough to get on plane with four people in boat. I added the Sting Ray Hydrofoil and the improvement is amazing...planes easliy, trim is more effective and you can feel the engine is not working as hard as it did without it. The install took about 1/2 hour, as I really took my time drilling into a new outboard. Top end gained slightly but the planing of the boat is the big change...get one of these!!!!
