Product Description
st_croix St. Croix's top-of-the-line Legend Elite Freshwater Fly Rod employs the most advanced engineering and graphite obtainable to deliver the ultimate in lightweight, ultra-sensitive, super-strong performance. St. Croix's exclusive Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology for continuous-curve tapers provides a lighter, stronger, more sensitive blank that smoothly stores and releases energy as the rod is loaded and unloaded.

Each Legend Elite features SCV graphite, St. Croix's advanced, high-modulus, high-strain graphite with NSi resin and a carbon-matte scrim for maximum weight reduction and increased sensitivity. St. Croix then uses their proprietary Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART), an internal reinforcing layer of carbon fibers, to further strengthen and improve hoop strength in the lower sections of the blanks. This technology creates a lighter, stronger blank that transfers energy from the butt to tip more smoothly than traditional blanks for longer, more effortless casts and incredible sensitivity.

Comments about St. Croix Legend Elite Freshwater Fly Rod:

If you are ready to step up to the best, this is it.
The new nano-particle resins have allowed St. Croix to build a great fast action rod with a tip soft enough for delicate close in presentations as well as being able to launch a cast to the other side of the stream. It got outstanding scores at all distances in the Yellowstone Shootout.
It's light as a feather and it just oozes understated first class quality.
Yes, its hard to convince your wife this is a bargain, but compared to the highest price rods, you'd have to pay hundreds more for a rod of this quality. No matter what you pay, you won't find a better rod.
It is engineered and fully built in Parks Falls, WI. It has that great St. Croix guarantee.
The resins even give it enough flex that you can wow your brother-in-law by letting him try it without fear he'll break it.
For the first time in a fly rod, St. Croix has one that lives up to its motto "Best rods on earth".
