    Comments about St. Croix Avid Series Carp Rod:

    An amazing combination of power with finesse. I've caught lots of Catfish and Carp from the shore with this great rod. It's so easy to cast 75 yards plus so be careful not to overcast and hit the far bank on smaller rivers! Works great with all US Carp methods and is really good at landing big fish on smaller hooks (size 8 and 10), unlike my old Carp Rods! I took my Avid to the local soccer field and cast a measured 110 yards with no problems, what a rod! I caught a 31 lb Carp two weeks ago on the rod and it really handled the fish well. I just cant fault it!
