I'm a contact lens wearer and hardcore watersports ensthusiast. Whether it's just casual riding on a jet ski or trying to land a backflip on a hydrofoil, these goggles are the best I've used in terms of comfort, protection, and design for the water--especially contact lens wearers. There's nothing worse than taking a face plant in the water and surfacing to find out that you've just lost a contact. Since wearing these goggles--about two months / 10+ trips to the lake and 100s of hard crashes, I haven't lost a contact yet. They rarely fog, but if they do, the open design allows them to clear themselves quickly once your moving again. Water wicks away from the lenses pretty easily. They don't suck to your face like a diving mask, they wear more like a pair of sunglasses with a strap. I usually wear them in tandem with a helmet and they are comfortable. They're not something you would wear out on the town, but they reduce the bright light and glare, they protect your eyes / contacts from hard impacts and water spray really well, and they're comfortable. Very functional--I'm buying another pair when I get done with this review. If I had a complaint, it would be scratching of the lens. But again, they've been tossed in and out of the compartments of my boat, the floor, the water, etc... for two months and you can still see through them just fine. They are built for abuse. YMMV.

I received the package damaged and a clip was missing on the strap so I couldn't really try them on unless I rigged it up. It fit well on face and the seeing area was pretty good but there was no seal or cushion around the eye area therefore I have to assume it wouldn't be a good fit. Also, without any cushion around the eye lens, I would assume it would leave an indentation on your face if you wore them for long periods of time or going fast on a watercraft. Was not impressed overall and returned them for a cheaper pair.

Comments about Spex Polarized Goggles:
I've used Spex goggles for years and have found nothing better for jetsking and catamaran sailing. They work equally well for snow skiing and boarding. Normal snow goggles are too big to wear with a ball cap but Spex are not. The vents aound the unsealed lenses prevent them fogging on water or snow yet rarely allow water intrusion from spray or splash unless they are completely submerged.

Comments about Spex Polarized Goggles:
I have used Bugz over the years when footin. The Bugz were durable and did not allow water to reach your eyes; they sealed well to your face for about 2-3 years and then it was time for a replacement pair. This year I went to replace them and they no longer make them they only make the SPEX for watersports. The open lense design and non-sealing frames are durable but allow water to get to your eyes while footin. They may be okay for skiing or wakeboarding.

Comments about Spex Polarized Goggles:
I use these goggles for learning to kite surf. I don't like bright sun. In learning to water start, I look up into the sun, have waves wash over me and sometimes crash. Even with all that they never get full of water, foggy or come off (I'm wearing a helmet). I just put them on and don't think about them again.
