Installed this on my 99 Bayliner Capri 2050 with a Mercruiser 3.0lx engine. Everyone knows these boats are a little under powered. I had a 21 pitch 3 blade prop which I switched out for the 4 blade 19 pitch. WOW what a difference! You will not be disappointed.

                    • Q:

Can I replace a 3 blade 14.5x19 with a 4 blade 14.3x19? Would this provide more power to plane and for skiers, or would this change the optimum rpm to top speed? Right now a 3 blade at 4800rpm gives me 35mph top speed.

                        A:

Moving to a 4 blade will give you more pulling power and a faster hole shot. More than likely you will loose top end speed. I would recommend dropping down a pitch size to factor in the additional blade.

                    • Q:

I am wondering whether this prop is a good option for my boat. I have 20 foot Sea Ray with 5.0 liter mercruiser. Outdrive is Alph 1. I have been told that this will help keep the bow down at lower speeds, i.e. when I am towing young children. I am also curious about hole shot and top end. Is this the right prop and pitch?
