Q:I am considering this unit, but have a question. Does it have any vents? I think adding vents would help control the temp batter.Asked on 9/4/2009 by Smoking Ken from Show Low, AZ.
A:It has 1 vent in the back at the top. Adding vents at the bottom might do just that. The problem with the unit seems to be the burner is too high of BTU's for the unit and the regulator does not cut the gas intake down enough. They are sending me a new regulator because of this.Answered on 10/13/2009 by Bill from Custer, Wa

A:I have a different brand LP "fridge style" smoker. That being said, they generally have adjustable vents on the side and top. Close the bottom vent more, and open the top vent more. That should drop your temp.Answered on 5/23/2009 by Curt from Maryland
