I used this product on a 3 night outing fishing with some friends. I'm a decent sized fellow, 6' 4", 285lbs. It was very supportive and worked very well. It assembled just like every cot I've ever owned which was just fine. I didn't like the fact that it smelled like the fumigation that most imported items of this nature have. It's a result of the skids and packaging that were used to import the product. The customs office has to fumigate the material for bugs and you can smell it. I'm sure that changing the style of packaging from the off-shore supplier would fix this, but it would also probably drive up the cost and make it a less attractive price point. The quick fix, a little febreeze and all was well.

    Comments about Slumberjack Big Cot:

Not being an natural camper, I had to figure out compromises between scouting sons and my wish for 5-star hotel sleeping. A friend loaned this cot to me for a cold tent weekend for Mom and Sons. I slept great. No waking up frozen to the ground as I have in the past. Wouldn't want to pack-it-in too far as it is bulky. But fairly light weight and easy to set up. I bought a camp mat for the less modernized camping.

      Comments about Slumberjack Big Cot:

Bought two of these for camping with a truck LOVED them sturdy easy to set up and best sleep on a camping trip yet.. these will be FIRST on the list of what to take either to camp or camping out..high enough to keep gear out of the walk area and sturdy enough for a fidgity sleeper. Too bad too heavy to backpack but for all else GREAT. Used them for overnite guests in the house too. Wish I had them years ago but got them NOW!! Buying more for gifts !!

Easily holds a twin-sized air mattress. Solid, comfortable support. Does not sway or creak upon rising in the morning or rolling over during the night. Very easy to assemble and repack in its ample carrying case.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it's between 15 - 20 pounds. I am a 60-year-old, arthritic female camper who has no problem packing, assembling and repacking this cot by myself.
