          I use this compass daily for work, where I hike around in the woods all day (archaeologist). Compass is great but it finally got TOO banged up in my pack and cracked- it now has a bubble that interferes too much with the needle. It lasted over a year though and I will be replacing it with the same one.

                  The compass is easy to use. I wish it had a more advanced instruction book with it.I have used it in my own woods and plan to use it on firefighting assignments. It stores nicely in my radio harness or pocket. All in all it does a good job.
