shimano Approved for use in freshwater and saltwater, this Tekota Conventional Reel delivers durability and strength in a lightweight, comfortable, and easy-to-use package. Diecast aluminum frame offers improved rigidity, appearance, and ease of mounting. Aluminum spool provides increased strength and durability. A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) are 10x more corrosion resistant than standard stainless steel. Super Stopper and Assist Stopper eliminate backplay, providing instant hook-setting power. Dartainium Drag provides a wide range of drag settings and smooth drag performance. Non-Disengaging Levelwind System eliminates the drastic line angles. Crossbar Forward Design allows more access to the spool for better line control. Other features include: Stamped Aluminum Right Sideplate, Aluminum Braced Graphite Non-Handle Sideplate, Rod Clamp, Clicker, Oversized Clicker Button, Oversized Cast Control Knob, and Septon Handle Grips. Rated for use with Mono, Fluorocarbon and PowerPro lines.

    Comments about Shimano Tekota 700 Conventional Reel:

    From large ajs in 200ft to catching 20# permit while on bridges in the florida keys, this reel has performed excellent.I dont take the best care of my stuff but this thing continues to perform. It is almost silent while retrieving line.
    The clicker knob is too recessed and is cumbersome to use is really my only complaint.
