when i bought this reel i was expecting the cheap normal [$] reel you get, i couldnt have been more wrong!! it is the best [$] reel i have ever used in my life. I have a few $85 reels that dont cast as smooth as this one. Over my years fishing ( every week i fish ) i have found that Abu Garcia and Shimano are untouchable when it comes to fresh water fishing! They do alright in saltwater but if your looking for a saltwater reel i would invest in a Penn, but with that said i have landed many specs and reds on my sonora! overall great reel for newbies and the guys who know there stuff!

this is the best spinning reel that i have. i am a professonal fishermen and i usualy use bait casting reels but when i need a good spinning reel this is the one i use, and i like the color
