Comments about Shimano® Sedona® FD Spinning Reels:
Bought one of the Sedonas a few weeks ago and after
using it a few times now, I have come to the conclusion that it is an adequate rod. It is not amazingly smooth or a fantastic caster but it does both fine. I have experienced some line twist, but not enough to cause major problems. The most redeeming quality of the Sedona is the nice drag. Shimano did a very nice job putting a smooth drag in an otherwise average product.
Given the other options on the market, I can not imagine why it would ever make sense to buy a Sedona. You can get a Sahara, which seems to be a slightly nicer reel, for close to the same amount of money or you could get a Pflueger President or President XT which are both superior reels for a minimal difference in price (and possibly cheaper for the President).
Overall, this reel is about a 3.5-slightly above average but nothing more. The only reason it breaks over 3 is due to the smooth drag.

Comments about Shimano® Sedona® FD Spinning Reels:
I have been fishing on the famous White River in Northern Arkansas for over 6 years and this year was my first to use a Shimano reel. I used 5 pound test line and was the best casting reel that I have ever used. I am looking forward to my next trip!
