Typical Shimano quality. The reel fits well in the hand and balances well with a light to med light spinning rod. Very smooth reeling. Appears to be very well constructed.

these are in my opinion the best reels out there I bought this one to replace one that is about 28 years old and still working fine. I just feel it should stop working.. But not yet!!!!

Great Reel! Easy to cast. Very smooth reeling system. I would (and probably will) buy another one of these reels.

The Shimano Sahara is a great reel for casting and trolling. The distance I acheive from its cast is very good, and it holds up when a fish is on the line. Especially for trolling out the line and reeling in lengthy amounts of line. The drag system is o.k. and the reeling is fairly smooth.
