shimano Built to withstand punishment and deliver accurate casting, the Chronarch Baitcast Reel features a modern, compact design with valuable tools such as HEG Developing, VBS, Super Stopper II, and a QuickFire II Clutch Bar. High-Efficiency Gear Developing features large drive and pinion gears for increased leverage and power. 1-pc. frame incorporates setplate and 1-pc. stamped sideplate to eliminate flex in the drivetrain, for high-speed retrieves, incredible torque, and reduced friction and drag. Super Free Bearing Supported Pinion Gear System (SF) ensures the spool shaft and pinion gear remain in perfect alignment, eliminating all friction for farther casting with much less effort. VBS (Variable Brake System) with reduced mass hub uses centrifugal force and a range of weight settings to control the cast for a consistent spool speed that is easier to manage. Super Stopper II anti-reverse with assist stopper uses a one-way bearing to eliminate backplay for instant hooksetting power. Disengaging Levelwind System prevents the line from being trapped under itself on the spool during rewind and interfering with subsequent casts. Aluminum frame resists corrosion. Recessed reel foot for better handling, casting, and pitching. Drilled handle shank and Septon PV Power Grips for comfortable handling. Titanium IP Line Guide with 1/8-turn easy-access attached sideplate provides unparalleled line control and long-distance casting. Lightweight graphite sideplates. A7075 Aluminum Magnumlite spool.
