saucony A full ounce lighter than its predecessor, the Ride 5 has been redesigned to provide outstanding responsiveness and flexibility, minus the clunky feel of traditional everyday trainers. The heel edge is beveled for a smooth transition from heel strike to midfoot, and more flex grooves have been carved into the forefoot design for better overall flexibility. The heel-to-toe offset has been adjusted from 12mm to 8mm to promote a more balanced, efficient stride throughout the gait cycle. Excess materials have been removed to reduce weight, making the Ride 5 the lightest ride ever! Lightweight, cushiony ProGrid midsole technology (previously in the heel only) has been extended to the entire footbed for a more seamless feel. The SSL EVA midsole material maximizes rebound and durability while minimizing weight. SRC Impact Zone provides shock attenuation and sets the foot up for a smooth transition. The HydraMAX collar lining offers exceptional moisture-wicking properties as well as a plush hand feel. The Comfortride open-cell foam sockliner is antimicrobial-treated, highly breathable, and provides superior cushioning and ride. An additional 1.5mm of EVA in the HRC Strobel Board enhances the step-in comfort for an incredibly plush ride. The outsole is a combination of IBR Plus blown rubber compound and XT-900 carbon rubber, resulting in enhanced cushioning and durability as well as superior traction. Medium width. Imported.
