These are flip-flops. They should not absorb water. After getting wet, the upper part of the sole which is very soft and comfortable, acts as a sponge and squishes when you walk. Not good. Very comfortable but dont get them wet. Not good for the pool or beach.

I use these flip flops for just about anything except going to the pool in(I have a different pair of flip flops for that). I am flat footed so when i stick my feet in them I don't feel like I am going to be in pain from walking. I really enjoy the fact that they are "made with yoga mats" unlike "rainbows" whose are made with a leather material.
