excellent frogs

Ive caught numerous bass over 20 inches on all Spro frogs, just bend the hooks open a little bit to get a better hookset, trim the tail for more action.

Comments about SPRO Bronzeye Popper, 2-3/8":

I recently started fishing with my boyfriend, and he uses this lure all the time. It was his favorite until a large bass snatched it away from him.
I do plan on buying him a few for his birthday which is coming up, so that he can continue to use this lure.
I've used it a few times and I get A LOT of hits on it while using it. Though it is hard to set the hook when the fish is to small, large bass go crazy over it. With a lot of patience and determination to get a fish this lure is great for areas like small ponds and lakes where there are A LOT of scum and pads.
I've come to learn that with summer being as hot as it is up north, the fish like to hang out in the shade, and this is perfect, because all the scum is in the shade and close to the shore.

I have yet to catch a fish this year since I just started fishing, but my boyfriend has a lot of luck with this lure and I've watched him catch 3 bass with it, that were quite large.
I definitely recommend this lure to everyone. Fish love it!

Comments about SPRO Bronzeye Popper, 2-3/8":

I absolutely LOVE this lure!!! I love fishing top-water lures, yet cant use my poppers or skitter pops in weeds. This lure is the answer, it goes through anything, is completely weedless, still has great popping action, and the fish find it irresistible. The only downside is you DO miss alot of fish. This is inevitable with a good weedless design, and I have learned I must be very patient and wait longer than usual before setting the hook, and then, there still is NO guarantee. However, I would rather miss several fish than have NO action at all, or NOT be able to throw in some great spots because I have nothing that will work in there. This lure is non stop action. The only other problem I had was although I was fishing for bass, the pike love this lure too, so I lost a few to those toothy critters. (side note: they float, so I was able to recover them a few times after the pike took it, and spit it out later)

Best thing in my tackle box. It never seems to let me down..prolly caught a fish on 75% of the cast with the black and yellow frog. The only downside is that you have to wait for the fish to take it and not set the hook to early.

You've got to train yourself to be patient with this lure. I do trim the legs but don't mess with the hooks, I've already damaged one from messing around. You have to wait up to 4 seconds sometimes to set the hook with it because the fish hasn't inhaled the whole bait yet. Just give it some time.

I want to know how and where to fish it. I also want to know if it really works

This lure works great for bass, especially if you are in thick weeds and everything you have is getting hung up. It is best if it is fairly calm. Throw it at cover-stumps, rocks, trees, etc. Be ready as soon as it hits the water because the bass often slam it immediately. If not, let it sit there a few seconds, give it a couple of twitches so it "pops." Then I reel it in a little bit, let it sit for a sec or two and twitch it again. Oh, and you MUST be patient. Do NOT set the hook right away when you see a fish slam it. Because it is weedless, and the hooks are snug to the body of the frog, if you set the hook early, you will pull it out of the fishes mouth more than 50% of the time. wait, then wait some more. It can be frustrating because sometimes I set too early and lose them and sometimes I wait too long and she spits it out. But, you get so much action, it is fun, and worth the missed hook sets. I hope this helps.
