Comments about SOG MC-02 SOGfari Machete, 18":
i have had this machete for about 6 months now and have used it quite often the only flaw is the blade bent a little but that was due to cutting down trees about 7 inches in diameter. Other than that it is an exellent machete.

Comments about SOG MC-02 SOGfari Machete, 18":
Had this machete for about 5 hours before it broke. I was using it to clean up a fallen tree limb in my back yard when it snapped about 3 inches from the top. Cleanly snapped off into two pieces. I wouldnt get it again. Gave me a blister after about 45 minutes of use.

Comments about SOG MC-02 SOGfari Machete, 18":
This product was very sharp when i got it. This is a good thing and a bad thing, it also means that the blade is thin and weak. The blade on this machete performs like that of an aluminum one. Very poorly built! Wouldn't recommend to anyone for any purpose.

the blade is sharp but brittle and pieces chip out when you strike small branches 3/8 to 1/2 inch.
Do not buy you will be disappointed.

Comments about SOG MC-02 SOGfari Machete, 18":
A great all around machete. Full tang (avoid the Gerber Gator), comfortable handle, forward and rear lanyard holes in the handle. Sharp out of the box and takes an edge.Ditch the nylon case (the only reason that I deducted one star) and purchase a milspec style machete sheath for field use.FYI. Use the Osborne Safety lanyard for the forward hole if you are going to use any lanyard at all ([@]). Rear lanyards on machetes are VERY DANGEROUS!)
