jabsco Fits Sherwood aftermarket pump. O-ring included. Composite aluminum, plastic, and cast iron construction of original Mercruiser water pumps does not hold up in marine environments. Now you have the choice to replace the complete pump assembly, the end cover only, or the impeller with a more durable, longer lasting pump.

            The Jabsco replacement is similar to the Sherwood dimensional specifications. It is slightly wider because of poor manufacturing in trimming the material off. Jabsco uses a neoprene and the original Sherwood is made of rubber. I don't know which material is better yet. Also, the included o-ring is not the correct size. It is too large. Be sure to save your existing o-ring or be disappointed when you aren't on the lake.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                    Very good product I replaced the original impeller with this one about 10 years ago so I just bought a spare to have. My boat is a 1984 model and it is getting harder and harder to find parts.
