The gulls don't perch on my boat. Their wretched droppings are a thing of the past. The devices work as advertised, with hassle-free deployment.

Comments about Cape Hatteras Repel-A-Bird, 4' dia.:

It's pricy, but it works. Comes without the base- something you have to buy separate or make your own.. but it repels those nasty gulls and helps to keep your boat clean.

  • Q:

How would you mount this product to a vinyl canopy cover that is supported by an aluminum frame?
    Asked on 8/4/2009 by Anonymous

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

You would really need the sand bag filled base, but then you run into the problem of possibly stretching the vinyl.

Answered on 9/22/2009 by Bryant C from Tech Department
  • Q:

Can this be mounted upside down for a boat in a boathouse? Big problem with starlings and their droppings. Will the wires just drop down with gravity or are they strong enough to keep their shape?
    Asked on 5/18/2009 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Per the manufacturer, this item was not designed for this use and has never been tested for that use. Gravity would eventually pull the arms down and decrease the amount of area coverage.
