Road salt is very hard on these.

    I purchased this for my snowmobile and yard trailers. It worked as expected for the summer, but the first winter the road salt did a number on the little balls in the bolt on section. I had this on a removable hitch and kept in the truck when not in use. Once the balls rusted it was very hard to change the balls and in the end I could not remove the ball. I would not recommend for areas where road salt is heavy.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
