rapala The Shallow Shad Rap brings the classic Rapala wobble to the top few feet of the water column, making it ideal for fishing "skinny" water. Whether twitched, cast, or slow trolled, this lure gives an exceptional performance every time. Its Balsa wood construction keeps it afloat while its shallow running lip design keeps it at its target depth. Its natural baitfish profile is authentic enough to fool even the most suspicious fish. Comes equipped with a pair of VMC black nickel treble hooks for positive sets. Hand-tuned and tank-tested. Designed for freshwater fishing.

        This lure is great for casting and trolling. I like to use fireline when trolling longline, any bump or weed snag is immediately detectable. Last three nights, my friends and I have boated 31 walleyes 18 to 23 inches using this lure. I have literally caught 100's of walleyes on this lure over the past 5 years.

          The bluegill color works the best for the walleye run in the spring because it seemed to snag less fish and catch more in the mouth and it stayed out of the rocks getting less hang ups and lost lures.
