These pliers handle everything. They are long enough to go get a back hook out of a pike or muskie's mouth. They are not too large to make you fumble around on a delicate bluegill. Replacing hooks on the water is very easy with the split ring plier end on these pliers.

Think it's a great product ,I bought it thinking I could use it for bass fishing .especially the split ring part ,but it's to big for small rings but might be good for bigger lures such as pike and Muskie fishing .not a big deal they are going to be perfect for saltwater .as far as other comments about the plastic spring mechanism mine is fine and if it did break wouldn't matter these things are solid and will last.the belt loop case is solid and clips on belt nicely .I would buy these again .
