Product Description
rapala With its flat sides and triangle lip, the Flat Rap takes a new spin on the "wounded minnow" wobble for a quick, hard-flashing version of that classic Rapala action and strike-drawing power. The flat sides were designed for hard fishing action, while the triangle lip deflects obstacles for smooth swimming and maximum visual appeal. Light, balsa wood construction gives it a slow-rising response on the retrieve pause. Hand-tuned and tank-tested for long casting and effective trolling. Comes equipped with a pair of VMC black nickel treble hooks for more positive sets. Ideal for targeting freshwater trophy gamefish.

Target species: Bass, Walleye, Pike, Musky, Trout, Salmon, Panfish.

Comments about Rapala Flat Rap, 3-1/8":

I've used a chrome and hotsteel pattern 1/4 ounce version on three trips to the lake and caught decent numbers and size of largemouth bass, chain pickeral and even some yellow perch and large bluegill.

As advertised, the flatrap rises very slowly when you pause your retrieve and this seems to have triggered some strikes that probably would not have happened with a faster rising lure.

All in all an excellent addition to my tacklebox.

you can run this bait in as little as a foot of water. you can add weight to front hook and make it suspend. I use it in early spring on those warm days when bass move up to warm

Just left the lake 1 hr ago, watched a man catch 4 brown trout over 3 lbs in half an hour with this lure. I don't get outfished often when it comes to trout but you can bet i won't go again without this lure in my pack!

I've done good with the flat rap for bass & pickerel. Runs shallower than the Rapala original floater, so it works good in shallow water, snaggy areas and over weed beds.
