Comments about Rapala® DT® Classic, 2":
I own them from DT-4 all the way to the deep DT-16 in many colors. I use the 4's and 6's on the shallow grass flats. When the bass head I switch to the deeper models. When fishing near wood I remove the sureset hook and use the standard trebles as the suresets get hung in the wood. Favorite color is the bluegill. Got to try the Ike colors and the DT-20 metal this season.

I agree with ChugBug (previous reviewer) These are awesome lures at catching fish. I have had several of them fall apart from use. the lips simply seperate from the bodies and your left with nothing but the lip and maybe the lure floating somewhere.

Comments about Rapala® DT® Classic, 2":
Bought DT FAT lure and really like it for about 50 casts and a few fish, then the lip pulled out on a retrieve. Returned it and chalked it up to a flaw, then the same thing happened with the new one I receive as an exchange. Then 3 other DTs had the same problem this time DT 6 had the same thing happen, one in Canada in 15 ft of water, luckily, it happened when no fish was on. Weird thing is, they all broke on a retrieve with no snag. Wood appeared wet and soft. I have fished with Rapala lures for 30 years and have about 40. Wondering if it was a problem I contacted Rapala and was told a variety of reasons it broke, basically, it sounds like you cannot throw this lure like a fishing lure. Here is their reply to a loyal customer who already made one trip back to their sales retailer, I did not ask for an indestructible lure, just one worth paying[$]for when their competition is $6:Rapala can make an indestructible lure that will never break but it will not have the action and unique construction that provides such great productivity. Many factors cause lures to become damaged. Rocks, Weeds, certain Fishing Techniques, miss use, bigger fish then the lure was intended for, Line strength, drag, and bottom structures are some factors that cause lures to weaken or become damaged. Time and time again, when we test and study lures that have broken, the results show that some hindering factor had caused the lure to weaken."
